I think this is were a few people have it mixed up. This site is for talking about boating.

This General posting page is for post general stuff about boating. Not general as talk about what ever you want, there are plenty of other chat site around the net to do that. And hence these posts being called "OFF TOPIC" because are off the topic of kayaking, boating rafting whatever. I understand how people may prefer to discuss these topics with fellow boaters instead of complete stangers and thats why i was suggesting a different forum for it.

But originally, of course I may be wrong and I would hate to claim I knew what the creators were thinking but this was a general boating talk forum.
