There is an awful lot of truth in what he is saying, even if it is written as a bit of a rant :).

Like it or not the US has commited some despicable acts in its chequered history. The institution of slavery, genocide of the native american people, and the subsequent grabbing of the land, were all acts which helped make america the countyr it is today.

In fairness, it took four years of savage civil war for a lot of ye to realise that hey! maybe slavery isnt such a good thing after all!

and if you think that america is the only force of do-goodery in the world today the you only really have to travel south to south america and see the rape of the lands and people that goes on there in support of the american economy.

maybe i am too cynical. but i also think i am a realist.
