feedback It WAS called the League of Nations....
waverunner
You probably wont see this, as it is too far down in the thread at this point, but I'll respond anyhow.  It was called the "League of Nations".  It was supposed to be President Wilson's crowning achievement and mark on history.  (Isnt it interesting that they always want to do things like that?  LOL!)  Unfortunately, the League was even less effective than the UN, and was corrupted by folks like Chamberlain (remember him?  He was one of the guys that caved in to Hitler....)  The UN was designed that way that it is in order to (hopefully) learn from that pitiful experience.  Wilson's mark on history?  Well, that would have to be World War 2.  The League of Nations and the "War to End all Wars" didnt change much.

I think you are more of a student of history than you let on.  When you make these "thought provoking" posts, they always seem to refer to some obsure event that most people are not aware of, or flies under the "popular" radar.

I have to admit I was a "history geek" in college....LOL!  And all I really learned from that is history is all in the perspective.

Andy
