do you hold?  (If you dont mind me asking.)  I am a private pilot as well, but I am working on the advanced ratings for a possible career change.  I have a second class medical, and have considered the surgery, but have heard MORE horror stories about getting thru the FAA red tape.  (I am from the guv'mint and I am here to help!)  I havent looked into it hardly at all, but I have heard that they dont want you to fly for 6 months after having it done.  Is that true?
