I was paddling all day in freshwater (lotsa playing and rolling) and the stayed clean all day. Surfed in the ocean the next day and they worked well there too! They're expensive if you have to pay full pop, but they really work. I went with the non-irridium lenses  because I thought they'd be too dark in and out of the shade on the river.
