...Cascade has adapted their lacrosse helmets for whitewater. Said helmet is quite popular with and widely recommended by a number of swiftwater rescue instructors (me included). At fifty bucks or so, it is also relatively inexpensive. The chief complaint against them appears to be their (lack of) esthetic qualities...not an important point for a helmet IMO.
