The bridge gauge read about 5.5 feet. At 5-0 they had already put up the rope to hold the gates up for this weekend and I guess they weren't anticipating the rain so the ropes were hanging close to the water. A couple of them were three feet off the water and you couldn't see them until you were right up on them. I didn't see many thrashings but saw a couple of fun looking swims. One guy had a couple of long swims so he just took off the river about 3/4 of the way down. Anybody that coudn't go should be kicking theirselves right now (Kevin). The waves at Lunch Rock were big and hard to get on. 5-0 was punpin, saw a couple of nice windowshades!
