My take on sports beverages at Fishtop... New

farmschooler
Last Summer we got told straight up by two Sheriffs that where we were (about 1/2-way up the lot, past the walnut tree) that we were totally fine.  Had a hard time believing it, and we asked for and got the info a second time.  They said "about from here up" was ok.  I don't know how that info gets from sheriff to sheriff, but that's what we were told.

I used that info (and, of course, my overpowering movie star charm) to escape the Man another time when found with a beverage in my hand on a real crowded day when I was on the other side of the lot.

Anytime it's a busy weekend day there now I don't think public drinking is well-advised.  Not one bit.

My take is that given it's now Summertime that true discretion (or abstinence) is likely the best path to take.  Pretty soon we'll be in to road block season there as well, and so I think it's time to tighten up the entire program --- beverages, safety gear, the works.  Keep the cars up to date with tags, inspection, lights, all that crap, because the Man is watching.

Safety is a six letter word ---- and a seven day job.  Something to keep in mind.

(I guess it used to be called "Fish Stop" Falls... way, way, back, fwiw.  Read some obscure story about it.  Can't find the link)

And congrats to A-Jacks.  Without doubt the single best troll ever made on BT.  It will NOT be topped, not for a long long time.
