I can rock, but I can't keep from rolling! <grin> <more>

>>If you can rock the boat back and forth, try leading foward with your head as you come down on the bow, and put you chest
over the bow as it leads into the water. You must stay on edge the HOLE time.<<

I can rock the boat while keeping it on about a 45 degree edge. Heck, I can paddle all over the place while holding it on edge like that. But as soon as I have it rocking and try to get it farther up on edge, I roll right over.

>>If that won't do it.....ask someone in the cloest eddy that is already making it look easy.<<

I did that just last night. A guy in an EZ was literally going from a flat motionless position to completely vertical (nose OR tail, his choice) with a single paddle stroke. No kidding - it looked as easy and effortless as standing up from a chair. He was very helpful, but basically his advice was "be totally committed, get it up on edge at 90 degrees, and it will happen." I _believe_ it, but I just can't seem to _do_ it.
