If you're implying the Booter is weaker, you're wrong. its tough as nails. Toughter I'll state than the other two for sure.

If you're suggesting that, light or strong, they should be warrantied if they break from impact, then i still say no. You hit a rock, you broke your boat. In mountain biking, downhill riding, if you hit a rock, take a drop, fall... whatever, and break your bike, short of a manufacturing DEFECT, there is no warranty.

The kayak industry is the same.

The argument aboiut whether boats should be light or strong is up for debate... performance gains versus abuse gains. I obviously, with the exception of a creeker, feel nthat performance over abuse should be the key criteria, and in most other sports its the case.

My posting was two fold...

1) Warranties are never there for boats that break from rock impacts. even though Riot has often warrantied such boats, it ws out of kindness. i'm sure Dagger, the company in question here, has too. but it was kindness, not obligation.

2) My personal rant that we, the industry, could bring you the paddlers some fine fine performance toys, if you'd get over the idea that boats should be these industructable bombshells. You think 6" of air is fun. wait till you take a 19lbs Tekno out and get 6 feet of air!!!
