In BC most decent freeride bikes average 40lbs just so they're beefy enough to take the drops. AND THEY OFTEN BREAK ANYWAY!! even with guys your size. A kona stinky delux or Primo wiegh in about 36lbs stock with a single crown fork. Add a real dual crown fork like a boxxer or shiver.... mid 40s easy. Brodies and Norco's... mostly over 40lbs stock. DHs pust 50lbs Come to the kootenay's sometime. it's Downhill trials, think of it as North shore but on a slope. And yes we ride those 40 and 50lb monsters up hill so bring your little old granny with you!
