I feel that not just as paddlers, but as people we have the right to try and speak some sense into people. Whether its dealing with running a high water class IV or making some horrible life choice, our words or support can change people. Its true that people may not listen and they don't have to; however, as a human being who genuinely cares about the people around me, I can't just sit back and watch my brother or sister make a horrible choice.

I'll try and do the same as Leland has said. We should all care about the people around us and not be ashamed to show it. A few simple words can bring life to a person. A few simple words can help someone think clearly when it really counts.
