One fall day on Sec 4, a boater came up & wanted in my group. I said no, didn't know him & our group was too big. Saw  & spoke later down around Woodall & they went ahead. He ended up under Right Crack & was pulled out 10 days later. We came up on Corkscrew & Crack right as he disappeared. A lot of mistakes happened. You think about those what ifs a very long time & maybe never forget. I haven't yet. Those images are frozen in my head. Sometimes there is nothing we can or could do. People are going to do things we will never understand. Newton & Milt know exactly what I speak of, so do you. It happened, you were never going to change that. That does suck, but it is what it is. Truly sorry you have those images & thoughts, it's part of the deal.  You can't change that day or moment, it is gone.  You can only change what happens next & that is why you won't forget.  None of us have.
