Hi Seth

thanks for the note. The splash pants and skirt tunnel sizing doesn't necessarily coordinate due to the fact that they are so different in design and function. A lot of people wear Md pants and a Lg tunnel or vice versa. If your pants waist size, a general guide for tunnel sizing, is between a 37-39, you are definitely going to want to go with the XL. If you have a 36" waist, then you are in the gray area. If you would like a super snug fit in the winter time and a snug fit in the warmer months, go with a large. If you generally paddle with at least paddle jacket and a layer all year round, then I would go with the next size up if on the fence.
A skirt tunnel should fit snug, but be comfortable. If you 'man' boat in the summer, no matter how tight your skirt tunnel is, water still finds its way down your spine, through that little channel that your spine makes on your lower back. I am sure that there is a scientific name for that part of the body, but i don't know it!

hope this helps
