Clearly the entire world will never be vegetarian, in fact I'm not even a pure vegetarian myself, but I do practice some restrictions.  I just don't think animals should be treated inhumanely before they are killed for our consumption and should never be put on display like that.   Like I said, I realize people will never stop eating meat entirely, but for instance you can buy chicken from specific places (Springer Mountain Farms) where the chickens are not treated inhumanely before they are killed and do not spend their lives cramped in cages etc etc.   (i.e. they are not put on those atrocious trucks that we see on the highway, multiple chickens stuffed in one minute cage, feathers flying everywhere, no shelter).  I don't eat beef so I don't know of any "good" beef producers.

I just wish meat producers would treat the animals more humanely while they are alive even though I realize they are going to eventually die for our consumption and  a pig, already dead or not, doesn't need to be displayed like that.

feedback the pig was raised locally, produced locally, cooked locally, consumed locally...rather sustainable i'd say. <NT> biggb New
note I've seen much waste with this approach. Not all usable parts are used in Gnar_Star New
