I love Ecuador's paddling. Good for you to make a go of it down there.

Anyway, if anyone reads this person's post -- the rivers down there really are as incredible as it sounds and this is a great place to get some out-of-country paddling in.

Great runs include: Papallacta (SE style), Jondachi (SE style) and the fluffly fun Quijos sections below el Rio Cosanga.

Also, I read your history on those runs and just had a couple notes you might be interested in:

I'm pretty sure hike-in to Headwaters of Quijos was done prior to 2006. I was told with strong confidence that it had been checked off by the time I was there on my second trip in 2003.

A couple groups I know have dropped Oyacachi all the way from town all way down through nat. forests to the lower. Definitely has been done since 1997. One group was on it while I was on the lower in 2002 and I believe also went back again later for another run top-to-bottom.
