Rented a car (one-way) to Flagstaff and drove up through Sedona/Oak Creek Canyon - nice drive.

To get the gear out there, we met a week or two prior to the trip and loaded everything up in a U-haul trailer and a couple of the gang team drove it out there. Those of us who had kayaks and gear in the trailer chipped in $150 each to cover fuel expenses from NC to Flagstaff. That approach worked great -but you've got to have somebody that can do the driving...
