I think its time we all take a break from the Upper Chattooga mess and let BoaterTalk be BoaterTalk again.
Durring the past month I've tried to bring a lot of UC information to light that was burried in mounds of documents and PDF's. My main goal was to educate the boating public on the issues so you could write an informed comment letter and not be a "robo e-mail sending drone." However, you must admit, the oppositions did a great job with the "robos".
I'd like to thank my very large staff (you) for helping me find several "gems" to rant about and turning the CamoCoalition into BoaterCoalition for a day. I have never laughed so much in my life! You did a fantastic job!!
I tried to take the high road with my arguments, but sometimes frustration got the better part of me (if you received my e-mail last night ignore it please)
Now its time to wait for the Forest Service to do the right thing. I'm sure I'll have a thing or two to say about their decision when the time comes. But for now, I need to step away from the keyboard, teach my son (8) how to hand roll his kayak, and get back to a normal life.
Now why don't we all talk about the best line at Bear Creek Falls, getting your calves ready for the Tallulah Steps, or if you are ready for the Green Narrows yet........
