Coincidence?  I think not.  

IMO, if you want to hold a race, set it up & run it as an event.  Want a low-key impromtu race w/ you buds, organize it via email/phone, or with whoever's around.  Don't broadcast it on the internet.  Those of us who weren't racing were inconvenienced by your actions.  Antagonizing the USFS isn't helpful, especially w/ the Chattooga decision right around the corner.
