TU Impact Studies

Why hasn't the USFS studied the impact of adding non-native aquatic species into the headwaters and the impact of the attracted anglers who trample the the river banks, add 19 miles of unauthorized trails in the headwaters and leave trash and fishing line dangling from the trees.

It seems obvious that that would have significant more detramental environmental impact to the headwaters than a kayak floating down river. If we aren't allowed unrestricted boating in the headwaters and its tributaries, AW will file suit and will, undoubtedly, demand proper impact studies of all user groups and thier activities. Imagine what they'll find out.

Maybe the anglers arn't afraid of boaters spoiling their solitude. Maybe they're afraid of introducing impact studies into the wilderness area. It's a slippery slope and the anglers might loose this one in the long run. HEY TU, be carful what you wish for!

Just a few talking points you might want to add to your comments. Feel free to use them.

Back of the bus everyone and buckle up this time..... we're about to hit an angler!!
