Hey Alex.  Yes to source.  Means it's even more sq. miles of drainage for the FB Asheville gauge than I thought.  Wow. New

What is amazing to me is that I've checked the FB Asheville gauge about 3 times in the last month and Thursday's check -- done for some kind of morbid fascination or grief perhaps -- turns out to be the low of ALL-TIME.

Incredible that so many 100's of square miles (800?) of near-rainforest southern Appalachia can be reduced to such a trickle.

Compare it to some run in the Smokies taking 1-2 inches of rain to get running at similar levels, and that from 5-15 sq. miles.

Back to back bad years, sure ----- but you'd think it would have happened before on this level of magnitude.  Apparently not.

Not a simple task to wrap one's mind around the full enormity or scale of this most evil program...
