note WaveSport Cracks at Seat Bolts New

I know this has been covered before but the search function sucks and I can't find the answers on it.

I've got two WS boats both with cracks around the seat bolts.  I've been using a combination of silicone caulk and duct tape to keep the leaking to a minimum, but I would kind of like to sell them and can't in good conscience sell someone a boat  with a non-adjustable seat.

Seems like I've heard of repairing using some stainless flatbar pieces and a rubber gasket, and also of welding the leaks.

Anyone have any good specific info on fixing them?

PS: Both boats are 3-5 years old and I'm thinking warranty isn't really an option as they are pretty beat.

note IMHO: There is too much stress at the seat bolts for durable repair. cityboy New
