	The scene here is pretty good!  Year-round has the Reno park, and they're building a 2nd park just 5 minutes downstream in Sparks--that should be ready to paddle in a month.  The SF American runs year round and is about 2 hours away--good play runs (mostly class 3).  For about 5 months a year, there are more epic runs within a 4 hour drive than you could ever run.  Lots of class 4, lots of class 5+.  I just got on the N Stanislaus Ramsey run yesterday, which was super-fun (look for a jacksonkayak.com update in the next day or two).  All-told, I've had a good time here in Reno paddling.  I'd think that it would be a pretty good place to be as a boater.  I'll be here for 3 or 4 months over the next year--hanging with my girlfriend.   I hope that helps!
