Haven't seen so much glitter in ages - looks like quite a strong turnout for Jimi-cup this year.   The dowstream run was in progress yesterday but plenty of folks on hand sampling Smoothies' undertow.

The 'Team Tennessee' kids were all under the place, with Jeremy Pugh and 'Trembly' often gone together for ages and always popping up just in time to catch the eddy.  Newbies Taylor and Taft were gettin the swing of things too, with Taft having one of the longest DT's I saw - popping up too late for the eddy but making easy work of the rapid downstream.

Other notables included the legendary Jimi Snyder, Jeremy Lauks, Stroh from DC, tons of other from the NE to the NW.

Jeremy Lauks had a new design on hand - a longer version of his Maelstrom I'd like to try.  Jimi was boating in a non-bouyant craft with indentions in the hull - crazy to see him paddling around waist deep the whole time.  One of Team TN (the other Jeremy) was rockin a Pro-Jet he scored from Doug Wellman - it's probably almost as old as he is but he's getting it deep like everyone else.   Huge variety of crafts out there.

Kinda cold n rainy today but I'll be heading over to watch and socialize between play sessions.   If you are in the area come check it out - it's flatwater to Smoothie from the parking lot so no whitewater skill required.
