question Punching big holes with handpaddles New

OK -- here's another question.  It relates a bit to my Broken Nose question (see below thread) but probably merits a different thread.

Can somebody (Milton, Joe Bill?) discuss techniques for punching holes with handpaddles?  Given a bit of a ledge, I'v got the boof.  But once I'm hitting the backwash or a big wave hole, I seem to find a hard time reaching forward enough to find water to grab.  This seems especially difficult in my short little Pop, which seems to want to "pop" vertically and then backender in big holes.

Thanks,

Mike

note The reason nobody handpaddles out west is because of a couple reasons. I being that not many stores carry them and TheBroncoKid New
