I got lucky and someone told me to not use that term before I ever tried to roll. When I successfully rolled my first time, I immediately rolled on my other side. No hang ups. I've never had an offside roll. It's just one side and the other.
Those who insist upon using the term "off side" in relation to rolling should have to paddle a canoe for a year. Harsh, I know... but it would certainly give them a different perspective on what an "off side" truly is. |
