Seems like it's always 20 degrees cooler.

But seriously, the afternoon/evening has always been the best time on the SF.
I don't recall ever seeing otters at 2pm in the gorge- but I have seen them at 6.
And when it's 110 out during the day, it'll still be 90 by the time you take off.
