The fact of the matter is, I'm still used to canoing. 

So, I'm sure it still won't be as comfy unless I made the comitment to change, and force my body to adjust to the differences with kayaking.  Of course same is true with kayakers switching, and adjusting to canoing.  Note: this does not apply to people with certain knee and ankle problems (kayaking might be a better option). Certain back problems (canoing might be better).

Either way- Boat and be happy.
