are too fat and out of shape to survive a swim.  They are fine as long as nothing goes wrong (like a raft flips) but can't handle an emergency of any kind. Take the 400 lb guy who died when his raft flipped at Dimple and he didn't survive the swim thru Swimmers. Unfortunately, many of the customers really believe they have signed up for an amusement park ride. At the same time the raft companies don't seem to often exercise their right to turn down a customer who doesn't look physically fit. You can't run a raft trip on the assumption that everything will go right every time down the river especially during a Spring season when the water is high.
