recommend the GoPro because there are lots of other ways you can mount it to things.  It does give you TV quality in good light.  I have been mounting mine straight to the boat and filming away down the river and have been able to get some fun stuff.  I hope they continue to update this camera.  If you want some example shots email me and I will put somthing together for you.  I may post some on our website today as well.
