There are many good choices but you need to demo and as many times as you can.

I love my diesel but hated it the first 4 or 5 times I paddled it. Of the others suggested, I know people that love each one.  
(I've only tried the rocker solo and large burn in the pool. The rocker was a very forgiving boat. The solo was easiest to roll but I didnt really like either the solo or burn. It could be that I just need to paddle them more though!)
  If my diesel breaks, I would pay to demo the magnum and mystic. But I'd jump into any that a friend would be willing to let me try for free!
So I'd suggest:
Dont rush; have fun trying boats.
