Because on several occasions after rains, and the corresponding heavy releases, the release goes to zero- with no rain in the immedeate forecast. If it were being managed better the res. would be kept at a level where it could absorb the occasional downpour without hitting the panic button and releasing @6000 for 3 days then shutting down for a month.

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, really. But the Cheoah is my favorite run, I don't get to paddle weekends very often, and I don't think I'm the only one who thinks it could be managed as well as the Ocoee. I mean, the TVA doesn't give two shits about us, but that river runs for us regularly and often.
