Today was a company day off, so being that it was a day off, I worked until about 12:30 and kept waiting on a work call despite word from paddlers of Smokies going off. Then I finally realized the call wasn't coming anytime soon, so I went kayaking until dark, getting some laps on Big Cr., got home at 8:30 after grabbing a beer on the way back, got that call while on the road back from the creek, got home, returned the call, started doing work again, probably will do work until midnight. So here's the real lesson I've learned in all of this: Working from home means you never leave the office (but at least the office is closer to Big Creek).
