and the impression I got was mission accomplished. Also, I read some criticism about Mcewan in the book some maybe warranted about planning and logistics.  I'd love to hear Mcewan's take on the comparison of the 2 expeditions.  

I think it is pretty awesome that he was able to go as far as they did with little support and at high water.
