I live in the area but I rarely go to the ledges,  but this what I know.  You can start to carthweel at the shitter once it reaches 3000 but you still have to deal with hitting the shelf that is underwater.  Really it doesn't hit its prime until 5000.  Then you can hit nice ends,  but when it reaches 7000 you can carthweel and loop.  It can be flushy at that level.  once it is that high there is a hole about half a mile downstream where you can do a variety of move, including blunts, loops,  and ends.  It can be challenging to find the spot if you do not know where to look.  The hole is small and is located on the river right half of the river and is located next to an island.  Pretty much any time there is high enough water for good play then other creek runs are in.  Normally I just go creeking instead or hang out with the girlfriend when the river is low. Good luck, don't drive far for this one though.
