I knew Jesse long before he drowned. I was very close to his family in Chicago when he was just a kid.  It was a real shock to me to find out he drowned in this accident.  We were just making plans to get together to hang out after not seeing him for 10 years.

It was a double tragedy. He had just become a father.  

I can't imagine how devastating this was for all of his family. Even now it doesn't seem like it really happened.
He was a great kid and I he is still missed by a lot of people.  May God's peace and healing be with us all.
