'The Green will never be the Ocoee, and is still a class V creek. Choosing to release during the week to keep "ferners" out is only hurting our cause.'
sure, it will not be the ocoee, but 15 people waiting to run Gorilla, with 5 in at the notch eddy, and other 5 waiting to seal lunch, it is just too dangerous . It is a question of time that someone gets seriously injured. And this was the situation on a saturday a couple of weeks ago.
And if I do not remember wrong, you did hit someone while you where going throw the notch, who was peeling out from the eddy not long ago, on one of these kind of days... and he was out for a while...
And I am not a local. It is just common sense. In a small and steep river/creek you do not want a crowd. Simple and logical.
a schedule a day in an advance, two at the most, would be a good compromise solution that will keep the equilibrium between the 'new' and 'old' schoolers...and in the lines of what the fishermen wanted.
ps: and if there is more trouble about this, we should send one fighter for each group. They should fight to the death on top of the rock at the notch that forms the Garage. I vote for Sprinkle to fight.
