I work in the power industry..but not for Duke before you guys hang me. The peak power demand times are between 6 and 10 am and 3 to 9 pm, at least the way we schedule according to demand. Most hydro plants produce very small amounts of power anyway but still I guess they are needed. You guys gotta remember this IS a business that Duke is running and most of the time their schedule is due to demand I would imagine. But why they are only running 60% some days and not at all on others has to be drought related. I would love to see some weekday 100% releases to but until we get some rain I don't think that will happen. So until then I will continue to scratch up the bottom of my ol trusty ace 5.1.
