my experience living in the N Georgia area was it is not that there aren't plenty of opportunities (i.e., good water days) to run the green on the weekdays and weekend.... but more of a motivational problem getting up and out early enough for a release shutting off at noon and/or getting people to carpool.  Even though I might have only gotten to the green a few times a year, I still bought a key to preserve the only access we got.  Of course, during drought years it's always been a shot in the dark whether it runs or not but then again, other paddlers around the world aren't blessed with a Class V run that has water more often then not.... and it will rain again (eventually) and the Green will, again, run almost every day.
