It would obviously be a huge victory to eliminate night releases and 60% release while getting all the stakeholders working together in agreement. However, there is still no permanenet access solution, and there doesn't seem to be a very good prognosis for getting one in the future.There is power in numbers, so opening the Green up to a wider regional group might help.
Also, I'd find it hard to believe that there would be overwhelming onslaught of boaters with scheduled releases. I'm sure that at first this might happen, but use would eventually spread out. Also, as you yourself point out this is "THE Green" we are talking about, which should be enough to keep all but the most harcore, super elite paddlers away. Or maybe is really isn't that hard after all, lots of boaters say "it's only class IV." ;-)
