the "release schedule" is 60% the majority of the time. Again, is there any relevance to numbers, access or size of the runs you speak of? Hiking into the California classics that you speak of or many of the others is irrelevant. By shear windows of runablility and an actual release takes the Green's possibility of getting crowded, to another level. Geez, how many people are kayaking, how often on every run you are speaking of? This would be ALL year long, and while this may spread the crowd out in some years, it certainly wouldn't in a drought year like this one. Funny, most of the runs you mention are west as well. More people, including kayakers live between DC and Atlanta than in probably the rest of the country. Spend a little time here Clay, see if you still have the same opinion. Again, two weekends ago it was almost as crowded at Fishtop as Green Race or Jerrys Baddle. Let us not forget the increase in "river useage" overall, tubers, fisherman, swimmers, etc. Believe it or not Clay, I am not just trying to protect "my or our local" precious resource.
