I agree that the cost of boats, at least some models, seem to carry a little bit more cost in them for the ammount of use that I get out of them. I wish that it cost less, but do I wish that it would have cost me less with a sacrafice being made on safety and performance? Nope!

Now as a rep for a large company that gets Millions $$ in warranty claims-

What is the cost you would pay to do what you do with it? What is each trip worth to you? Are you expecting to pay pennies on the dollar for a trip that leaves you pumped for days? Cost of boat divided by trips made = worth it? If not then change sports. The manufacturers are in the business of making money. They have bills to pay. If you wish to pay less, go used.
