How much of the Ashlu would be dewatered in the diversion?  I read some details on Ledcor's site (not that I'd believe it all) and they said it would divert about 3 or so miles before returning the water to the river.

If that's the case, what section would be dewatered?  Would it be any part of the gorge?  I don't really know much about what the various sections are like.  Do you have a link with descriptions of each section?

While diverting a few miles is a big deal in itself, it seems like the added construction is the big thread.  Ledcor's site acts like there will be minimal visual impact from the project, but it's clear from watching the TRL updates, that it's substantial.
