Yep, for some reason (and I *know* it's learned, cause humans are only born with two fears, loud noises and falling) people often are "afraid" of snakes. Silly people. Snakes are, for the most part, quite nice! And also for the most part, are far more afraid of us than we are of them, if there is any "fearing" to be done.

Often, as with many things though, I guess it provides one a barometer of a person's, um, "quality" (for lack of a better term). Perhaps I should have known, because when I first met my Ex, she was hanging around with this even cuter girl, and the first time I approached them both with my then wrist-boa, my ex recoiled in fear, whereas the cuter one was quite amenable to my boa. But then again, the cuter girl had already demonstrated her unsuitability (for me) because she was quite an "airhead" too!
