But here is what I know from people who are. Kayak companies are looking obviously for great boaters, but if the boaters are jerks it is worse. People who are known for helping others on the water and are enjoyable to be around are generally the best ones to be sponsoring. Personality is a good thing to have and honesty is even better. Basically being a great person and a great boater is all you need.
Also test the companies products before you ask to get sponsored and make sure that you like them. Companies who sponsor someone for 6 months only to have them skip out of the deal pass the word on and so it is important that you pick a company that you will be loyal to.
In conclusion you need to just be yourself and if you are a jerk, forget it. |
