The first was the point that other manufacturers were doing this also..that I have NO idea about...but the thought of all this corporate involvement does bug me a bit...I thought the Green Race was historically a group of hard core Green paddlers that met up in the fall and raced for mostly bragging rights and on equal terms, then celebrated over a keg..the thought of all this corporate sponsorship and involvement seems..well...like a bastardization of the original race. Sorry, but I know as things grow some of this is inevitable, doesn't mean everyone likes it.
Then the Tornado issue..I agree they due seem to win, and are hard to come by..BUT not impossible, AND they were production boats that if someone really wanted one and were willing to spend the time looking they probably could find one. And everyone knows Tornadoes win..and they did make a long boat catagory I beleive to help seperate them out.
just some thoughts..I'm not racing so what I think doesn't matter a whole lot anyway.
So how do you feel about jim snyder designing squirt boats?? Or EJ designing playboats? <NT> Bradley New
They call it the Scream because of the sound the paddler makes, just before he gets munched. <NT> Will_Carry New
