Interesting that this thread should come up because the latest edition of Paddler has a 2001 boat review with sidebar quotes from BT. It kinda begs the question about what BT is and what it can be used for. What do you do as a publisher and you want to quote someone who posts as "Herr Boater" (for example). Or to complicate the question further, what if some people know the name of the original poster? Does that person *want* to have their name associated with those words? Many people on this forum don't, as the anonymous posting priveledge proved.

Just things to think about. Copyright laws are a funny things when it comes to dynamic, modern media.

What would you do if you found yourself quoted in Paddler on something you wrote on BT? Would you be pissed that you didn't get a chance to edit or choose your words better? Upset that they didn't or did use your actual name?
