Don't worry about a small boat, bigger boats can be easier to stall. Leaning back bow goes down, lean forward over your head obviously. Your body acts as a tripod so you should be perpendicular to your boat with your arms over your head and body and head in the water. The paddle you can easily figure out from there. One helpful tip I was taught is to get in the position and then don't move. If you tip over one way you know what to do and if you stay there for a second before you fall over then you know where your balance point is. I actually just got mine for longer than my record (8 seconds) tonight and felt in control, so it was kinda cool. |
