That organization is run by a board. Donations start drying up & you can bet something will happen or someone will be gone. Sure they do a lot of good work. Good work should include a User Capacity Analysis & implementation of the results. Nether is occurring & the Conservancy is letting a prime opportunity for responsible management of the resource pass & catering to a group of locals who do not care for the overall health of the resource, only their particular special interests. Perhaps, boaters would do well to be looking at the overall picture, as well. I see AW doing just that & I applaud their effort at true stewardship. It should not just be about boating on either side but about responsible management of the Chattooga Wild & Scenic River. That is not currently happening.
