...I am not familiar enough with the French Broad to really know where that 8.2 mile stretch of the river is. I was just curious if the ledges was right in the middle of it. I would hope if there was any kind of public health hazard they would post some signs at the parks..??

So you are saying this 'impaired' section is even further upstream than the treatment plant and Long Shoals? How far upstream?
